Pete Blaker is one of the hottest properties in disco right now. He’s dropped plenty of heat on the likes of Balearic Blah Blah, Razor-N-Tape, Funkyjaws, Hot Biscuit, and Music For Dreams, and now lands back on Just What The World Needs for his 3rd Untitled 12″ with another delightful trio.
The A side of Volume 18 features ‘Track 1’. All roomy and heady, with meandering bass and widescreen synth work run through with some folk rock vocals that bring a great Balearic feel. ‘Track 2; has a warming shuffle down low as glistening keys and organic percussion all add texture and psyched out spiritualism. ‘Track 3’ flips the script with an edit of The McCrays which rounds the 12″ off with a more funky and playful sound led by expressive horns and loads of neat little guitar riffs.
