Description

Number 5 in the unofficial Loft Classics series that covers some of the tracks that David Mancuso used to play at The Loft in New York.

On the A side we get epic funk in the form of The Meters It Ain’t No Use from the Rejuvenation LP in 1974. At 11+ minutes long this is one of those records that is a pleasure to put on and sit back and listen to.

On the B side we get Brass Contruction’s Movin’ which was originally released in 1975 on United Artists records. Sampled by The Bucketheads on Got Myself Together. Finally we have The Beginning Of The End’s When She Made Me Promise taken from the Funky Nassau LP which was released in 1971. This track was sampled by Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth’s They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)
