Description

James Greenwood of the Manchester DJ collective, Supernature Disco, follows up the instant sell-out debut on Semi-Skimmed Edits with a glorious second EP !

A label dedicated to the traditional style of re-editing. Nothing added, just precision sliced disco for modern day dance floors. Edits for the underground.

Review:
James could well be Manchester’s answer to editors such as Jamie 3:26, Zernell, Rahaan, Red Greg, and Theo’s Ugly Edit series.

Of all the jocks I have heard playing in Mancunia I can safely say James is one of the best in the city when it comes to mixing up obscure Disco and Boogie business.

Volume #2 is made up of dope reworks of 3 rare album cuts and shows off both James’ knowledge as a selector and an editor.

5am Saint is pure bliss. Soulful, funky and female vocal led. The kind of undiscovered disco gem that makes you purse your lips like you’re sucking a lemon then has you moving like a bobble head that’s just driven over a speed bump.

Track Sonoma leaves you salivating as you do after having something sweet in your mouth. Another joyous disco edit that pulls out the best bits and makes the most of the original track. OG copies of the source material go for a pretty penny too.

For Jungle Music he visits Africa to stretch out an already percussive workout and again loops up the best bits of a rare and sought after LP cut. Having managed to grab myself a sneaky test press I can tell you this will sound great in the mix of any house, afrobeat or disco set.

TRACKLIST:
