People of Earth finishes 2019 strong with it’s twelfth release from UK singer/songwriter OMAR. The track “Benefit” was written and performed by Omar and originally appeared on Boddhi Satva’s “Transition” album in 2015.
Now we have two legendary producers on remix duty, Alton Miller and Kai Alce. Each lending their signature styles to the vocal. Alton gives the vocals a special treatment. A silky smooth mix with a fierce baseline, jazz influenced keys and a hefty dose of rhythmic percussion. A peak time track that continuously bumps.
Kai honors us with three mixes. His vocal mix has us dancing with old school chords, lush pads, a swinging house beat and an added Roy Ayers vibe. In addition to the instrumental dub we have a the Dub 2 mix which is a solid groove with vocal chops.
Does what it says on the tin. Quality soulful house with two of Detroit and New York’s best plus Omar on vocals.
