Whilst searching through the tapes a gem was found… marked “Larry Levan Remix”! this is the first time these remixes from the legendary House pioneer have been released on vinyl… An essential piece of wax for all discerning heads! Exclusive import release from the States.
Groove Committee’s “I Want To Know”, produced by Victor Simonelli and released on the seminal Nu Groove in 1991 is already something of a timeless US house classic so unearthing 2 lost Larry Heard mixes was always going to be special.
One of those where the remix, at 20 minutes long!!!, is ever better than the already classic original.
Notes: A Side is perfect. Marked as VG because the instrumental on the B side has a 0.5cm long mark from the pressing plant that may or may not be audible. Likely to have been caused by a shard of vinyl when cutting. Photo supplied on request.
