The A side open’s with Slick’s ‘Space Bass’. Slick being a cosmic side project for Larry James (Fat Larry’s Band). The classic track has been expertly re-tooled to fire up today’s dancefloor.
The flip revisits Goody Goody’s ‘It Looks Like Love’. It’s creator Vince Montana, the vibraphonist & Disco Godfather who founded Philadelphia’s MFSB before leaving to set up the legendary Salsoul record label spent decades honing the art of ‘moving the crowd’. Reworked by many recently, this version stays true to the original, simply tightening it up whilst adding some extra punch to underpin the groove.
