Canada’s Unidisc continues it’s 40th anniversary celebrations with The Reflex Revision of an utter disco classic by Bobby Thurston.
Treating the original with the respect it deserves, The Reflex deliver a DJ friendly rework, making the drums a little tighter and adding a new synth bassline before stretching out the original parts of the track to be 10 minutes long.
The original 12″ mix is an absolute dancefloor bomb! Released in 1979, this tried and tested funky 4/4 groove always gets feet moving without fail. A timeless gem that is the kind of jam that the DJs in Chicago and New York ran in the run up to the birth of house music, and was edited on the highly sought after JV – EditChannel XXX.
Rounding off the 12″ is the DJ friendly original instrumental mix making this yet another essential cut from Unidisc.
Notes: Record is brand new mint condition. The thin PVC sleeve has been graded as VG+ because it has a split at the bottom of it. This is very common with the Unidisc 40 series. The record has now been placed in a paper sleeve inside the PVC sleeve. The record and PVC sleeve are now stored in a new audiophile resealable sleeve to prevent any further splitting.
