Description

Superb EP featuring some of the best and most sought-after floor friendly cuts from soul legend Ben E King.

Kicking off the party is the 12” promo version of ‘Street Tough’ from 1981. Written by the late great Willie Hutch in 1981, this acclaimed cut oozes class with backing vocals from Luther Vandross and Ullanda McCullough and great sax and is a superb introduction to Mr King’s smooth vocal style. Another promo version follows in the shape of ‘Music Trance’, a slick upbeat disco-styled number packed with jazzy horns and funky guitar licks.

On the B-side, we have a fantastic edited long version of Parts 1 and 2 of the immense 1975 crossover smash ‘Supernatural Thing’ – over seven minutes of super-sexy low-slung chugging floor burning funk at its very best. Finally, we have ‘Spoiled’, another killer rare groove cut from 1978 with wonderful backing vocals. Great chance to own Mr. King’s funkiest moments on one slab of loud pressed 12” vinyl.

This is an unofficial US pressing.
