Description

Underground break-beat fuelled disco funk from 1978, by New York-based alliance Aura, a studio group that emerged from teenage live band, Hooker, who hailed from Corona, Queens. This is a first time the full-length versions of ‘Freex’ and ‘Last Stop’ get a limited 12″ reissue cut at 45 RPM.

At the helm of Starbase Sounds was multi-instrumentalist Steven Young and the Cadle Brothers trio: guitarist, lead vocalist and producer Ray Cadle, bassist Jules Cadle, and an older brother Karim as executive producer. The female background vocals were sang by the background singers from the Salsoul Orchestra

They released a total of four singles, each of which has long since become prized for the music and scarcity in equal measure.

Rare as hens teeth. The 1978 pressing of this record has exchanged hands for £430 !!

Limited edition of 150 copies. One Per Customer.
