Dan Shake’s Shake Tapes project just keeps on coming with the good stuff, each installment broadening the scope of just what this multifarious DJ and producer is capable of. This time around there’s heated, salsa soaked jazz to be enjoyed on “La Descarga Del Bobo”, while “Sixty-Two Fifty” twists off into bugged out jazz funk territory. “De I Comahlee Ah” is a rough and red-lining piece of party jazz, and “Nobu” finishes the EP off with a surprisingly tech-injected kind of, you guessed it, jazz. Whatever your preference as far as jazzy sounds, there’s something for everyone on this 12″.
