Best known for his work with CL Smooth, and his remixes for Public Enemy, House of Pain, Mary J Blige and Mick Jagger to mention a few. Hailing from the little town of Mt. Vernon, NY, right next to the Bronx, Pete Rock & CL Smooth pretty much got together in their local high school when Pete noticed CLs dope and unique voice.
In early 2000 BBE hooked up with Pete Rock and he decided to produce and eclectic album for the 2nd release of the BEAT GENERATION series. A fusion of jazz, pop, folk, rock and soul laces this ground-breaking project. A scattering of MC tracks (featuring a new crew called the UN) are also present to whet the appetites of Pete’s traditional fan base.
