Recent collaborative efforts have brought Nikki back into the limelight, following her stunning mini LP on Moodymann’s Mahogani Music back in 2005. Very little information available on this one, we know only that it’s a one-off ahead of a wider released project – but safe to say it’s a superb 12″, featuring two versions of new track ‘Gotta Believe’.
A thumpin’ House rub sits on the A Side, floating the distinctive Badu style delivery over a perfectly pitched groove On the flip, we’re treated to an inspired rework of an underground boogie gem which suits the vocal like it was meant to be!
