Unofficial US pressing of two of Gwen McCrae’s finest moments. On the A side we have the extended 12″ version of Doin’ It of which a shorter version was included on her On MY Way LP from 1982. Musicoans on that album included Fred Wesley and Webster Lewis. Original copies of the 12″ version have sold for up to £70 on the 2nd hand market whilst the 7″ has sold for up to £150!
Doin’ It was revisited by Joey Negro on Remixed With Love.
On the B side we have 90% Of Me Is You from Gwen’s self titled LP from 1974. This track was written by Clarence Reid and is a main stay in funk and soul record collectors boxes the world over.
